He was able to create a national support center that helped his customers in servicing, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair for the products that his company produced. In that time there was no other company that offered responsive, customer oriented and customized services.
Dell computer was first known as PCs limited but later changed its name to Dell Computer Corporation in 1988 the same year that it went public and sold its stock. The stock shares went for 8.50 dollars a piece. It was ranked among the top 500 companies by the Forbes magazine in the year 1992. In the year 1994, the company marked its tenth anniversary with the release of a new logo. The entrepreneur was only 27 years old. Today, the corporation has more than 77,000 across the globe. It may have experienced few problems and obstacles on the way but it has remained true to its mission of becoming the worlds most trusted computer corporation in the world.
